Privacy Policy

Effective August 27, 2026 · Last updated September 18, 2026

The short version
NoteHorizon has no accounts, no servers of ours, no analytics, and no third-party tracking. We collect nothing. Your journal lives on your device and, if you turn sync on, in a private space of your own: an Apple iCloud database on iPhone, or a folder in your own Google Drive on Android that only this app can open. We cannot read it, and we could not hand it over if asked, because we never receive it.

This policy explains how the NoteHorizon apps for iPhone and Android (the “App”) handle information. It is published by Integrate AI LLC, a North Dakota limited liability company (“we”, “us”), the developer of the App.

This policy covers the App only. Our website is covered by a separate website privacy policy — unlike the App, the website does process a small amount of information when you contact us.

1.What we collect

Nothing. The App has no sign-up, no account, and no backend of ours. We do not collect, receive, transmit, sell, rent, or share any personal data. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting service, no attribution or fingerprinting library, and no third-party tracking of any kind in the App.

We do not build profiles, we do not use your content to train machine-learning models, and we run no automated decision-making or profiling as defined by the GDPR.

2.Where your content lives

Everything you put into NoteHorizon — journal entries, photos, plans, reminders, notes, moods, and people — is stored in two places, both of which are yours:

  • On your device, protected by the phone’s own file encryption and, if you turn it on, the App’s lock.
  • On iPhone, in your own iCloud account (Apple’s private CloudKit database), if iCloud is enabled, so your content syncs between your own devices.
  • On Android, in your own Google Drive, if you turn sync on: a hidden folder inside your Drive that only NoteHorizon can open.

Your iCloud data is governed by your agreement with Apple, not by us. We have no credentials for it and no ability to read, access, or recover it. For the strongest protection, enable Advanced Data Protection in your iCloud settings; NoteHorizon’s content is then end-to-end encrypted such that Apple cannot read it either.

Google Drive sync on Android

Sync is off until you turn it on. When you do, the App sends you to Google’s own sign-in page in your phone’s browser, and Google hands the App a key that opens exactly one thing: the App’s own folder in your Drive. NoteHorizon cannot see, list, or open any other file in your Drive, and that folder does not appear beside your documents. Your password is typed to Google, never to the App, and never reaches us.

What is in that folder is your journal, in the same open archive format the App exports, under your agreement with Google, not ours. We hold no credentials for it and cannot read, access, or recover it. Turn sync off in Settings at any time, and delete what is there from Google Drive on the web: Settings → Manage apps → NoteHorizon → Delete hidden app data.

3.Device permissions you control

NoteHorizon asks for system permissions only at the moment you use the matching feature, and every path works if you decline:

On iPhone

  • Calendar — to display your Apple Calendar events beside your plans. Events are read live and are never copied into NoteHorizon’s storage or transmitted anywhere.
  • Contacts — when you tap Import, iOS asks whether to share all of your contacts or only the ones you choose. NoteHorizon reads the people you allowed once, on your device, and keeps only their name, photo, birthday, and phone number. Nothing is transmitted, and you can add people by hand and skip Contacts entirely.
  • Photos — added through the system photo picker. NoteHorizon receives only the photos you select.
  • Camera — only when you tap Take Photo in an entry or a note. The picture goes onto that entry or note, on your device; it is not saved to your camera roll and not sent anywhere.
  • Notifications — to deliver the reminders and nudges you create. Notification content is composed on your device.
  • Face ID / passcode — to lock the App. Biometric data is handled entirely by iOS and is never available to NoteHorizon.

On Android

  • Calendar — to show the events already on your phone beside your plans. They are read live and are never copied into NoteHorizon’s storage or transmitted anywhere.
  • Contacts — only when you tap Import from Contacts. Adding one person instead uses the system picker, which needs no permission at all. NoteHorizon keeps the name, photo, birthday, and phone number of the people you allowed, on your phone.
  • Photos — added through Android’s photo picker, so NoteHorizon receives only the pictures you choose.
  • Camera — taking a photo opens the phone’s own camera app and hands the picture back to the entry. NoteHorizon never asks for camera permission.
  • Notifications — to deliver the reminders and nudges you create. Their content is composed on your phone.
  • Alarms & reminders — so a reminder rings at the minute you set it. Without it, Android may deliver it late; nothing else changes.
  • Screen lock — the App’s lock is the phone’s own check, a fingerprint, a face, or your PIN. Android answers yes or no; NoteHorizon never sees a fingerprint or a code.

You can change any of these at any time in iOS Settings or Android Settings. Revoking a permission disables the matching feature and nothing else.

4.Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Apple on iPhone and by Google Play on Android. We receive no payment details, no card numbers, and no personally identifying purchase information. We can see only anonymous, aggregated sales reports that Apple and Google provide to all developers, which cannot be linked to an individual. Their handling of purchase data is governed by their own privacy policies. A plan bought on one of the two stores does not carry over to the other: the stores do not talk to each other, and there is no server of ours in between.

5.Children

NoteHorizon is rated 4+ on the App Store and Everyone on Google Play, and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 — it cannot, because it collects nothing at all. Accordingly there is no data for a parent or guardian to review or request deletion of. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that raises a concern, contact us and we will help as far as we are able.

6.Your rights

Privacy laws including the EU and UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and similar state and national laws give you rights over personal information a company holds about you — access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

We hold no personal information about you from the App, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, port, or delete. We have no personal information to sell or share, and we have never sold or shared any. You can nevertheless exercise the practical equivalent of these rights yourself, at any time:

  • Access and portability — export everything the App holds from Settings, as an open archive of JSON plus image files.
  • Correction — edit any entry directly in the App.
  • Deletion — delete items in the App (purged after 30 days in Recently Deleted), delete the App, and remove what sync left behind: on iPhone via iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage; on Android in Google Drive on the web, under Settings → Manage apps → NoteHorizon → Delete hidden app data.

If you would like to make a request or ask a question about this policy anyway, email integrateai2026@gmail.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law (generally 30 days under the GDPR, 45 days under the CCPA).

If you are in the EEA or UK

To the extent the GDPR applies, Integrate AI LLC is the data controller for the App. Because the App transmits no personal data to us, we carry out no processing operations requiring a lawful basis, and we make no international transfers of your App content. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

7.Security

Because your content stays on your device and, if you turn sync on, in your own iCloud or Google Drive, its security rests on protections you control: your device passcode or screen lock, the phone’s file encryption, NoteHorizon’s optional lock, and the password and two-step verification on your Apple Account or your Google Account. On iPhone you can also turn on Advanced Data Protection.

We recommend enabling a device passcode and the App lock. No method of storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data held on your own devices and account. See also Section 5 of the Terms regarding backups — since we hold no copy, we cannot restore lost content.

8.What the stores say

Apple requires every app to declare its data practices. NoteHorizon’s declaration is “Data Not Collected” in every category. Google Play asks the same question its own way, and NoteHorizon’s Data safety entry says no data collected and no data shared. Content kept in your own iCloud or your own Google Drive is not collection by us: it never reaches our systems, and we hold no key to it.

9.Changes to this policy

If a future feature changes anything above — for example an optional web version that would require an account — this policy will be updated before that feature ships, the change will be opt-in, and the App will say so plainly before anything leaves your device. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date and surfaced in the App.
