Sajilo Support

Sajilo is made by a small team, and support email reaches a person who works on the app itself — not a ticket queue.

To help us help you faster, include your iOS version, iPhone model, and what you were doing when the problem happened. Never email us account numbers, card numbers, or banking passwords — we never need them, and we will not ask for them.

Common questions

A bank connection stopped working.

Open Accounts and tap Reconnect on the institution showing a problem. This reopens your bank’s own sign-in so you can re-authorise access. Connections break for ordinary reasons — a changed password, a new security prompt, or your bank updating its systems — and reconnecting is usually all that is needed.

Does Sajilo ever see my bank password?

No. You sign in at your own bank inside Plaid’s screen, and those credentials go to your bank, not to us. We could not produce them if asked. Our access is also read-only: Sajilo can read transactions and cannot move money, by construction.

A transaction was put in the wrong category.

Tap the transaction and choose the right category. Sajilo learns from that correction and files the same payee there from then on, so it will not ask twice. If nothing on the list fits, tap New category at the top of the picker.

What exactly is Safe to Spend?

Money coming in this month, minus your bills and subscriptions, minus what you set aside for savings, minus what you have already spent. It is an estimate built from your own data and from bills Sajilo detected automatically. Your bank’s balance is the authoritative number — treat Safe to Spend as guidance, not as your available funds.

Sajilo thinks something is a recurring bill and it is not.

Open Cash Flow → Recurring, tap the row, and choose “Not recurring”. It leaves the list and stops counting against your plan. Detection runs over your whole history, so a payee that genuinely recurs will reappear if it starts looking regular again.

One purchase was really two things.

Open the transaction and tap “Split across categories”. Give each part a category and an amount; the parts have to add up to the whole, and “Use the rest” fills the remainder for you. Your Safe to Spend does not change when you split something — only where the money is attributed.

How do I get my data out?

Account → Export CSV. Sajilo writes an ordinary spreadsheet of every transaction with its date, payee, category, account, amount, tags, and note, and hands it to the iOS share sheet so you can save it to Files, email it, or open it in any spreadsheet app. Nothing is locked in a proprietary format.

How do I delete everything?

Account → Delete account. It erases your budget, accounts, transactions, categories and settings immediately, and revokes Sajilo’s access at every bank you connected in the same operation. We keep no copy and there is nothing to restore afterwards, so export first if you want a record.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not inside Sajilo. Open iOS Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, and select Sajilo. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription, and cancelling does not delete your data.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, and select the purchase. We have no ability to issue refunds directly, but tell us what went wrong and we will try to fix it.

What do I need to run Sajilo?

An iPhone running a current version of iOS, and a US bank or card issuer if you want automatic sync. You can also use Sajilo entirely by hand, without connecting anything.

Something else is wrong.

Email us. Include your iOS version, your iPhone model, and what you were doing when it happened — that is usually enough to identify the problem quickly.
